The Quintessons have the upper hand. How does everyone else fight back in this war? Better yet, what consequences await them for daring to fight back?

*Void Rivals #29 SPOILERS ahead!*

DEADLY BATTLEFIELD

Vector Theta speaks and is activated. Vector is activated by the legendary Zerta Trion. They are requesting for their body to be restored and ready to fight against the Quintessons in this active war. And that request will be granted.

On Zertonia, we see Pythona who is trying to make her way through the battlefield, while doing that, she tears apart a Sharkticon with her bare hands, killing it in a fiery explosion.

When she is stopped by Proximus, they have a psychic link that shows one another their goals. Proximus sees that Pythona is trying to save her people and he tells her to continue on with her mission, he doesn't have any problems with her.

Agorria is no different. The battle rages on and is causing casualties left and right. Dulin yells to his soldiers to show NO MERCY! To continue to fight until they can't breathe anymore. But the Tribunal has shown up with his menacing spider-like long limbs holding his menacing robot head up. It threatens to kill every last person here unless they surrender. Surrendering will still see soldiers die...but just not as much.

Dulin as a headstrong leader basically tells him to shove it and tells his soldiers to "UNLEASH HELL!"

Which they definitely try to do while Darak flies through space, returning to Aggoria and is planning to use the power of the Energon when he arrives.

With no plan, except for saving his father, Darak uses the power of the Energon to speed in head first to the Tribunal, raining down blaster shots from his ship. But it's not enough to stop the Tribunal. Darak talks with Handroid about his options before launching his body at the Tribunal, punching through one of his spider leg limbs before blacking out completely.

When he finally wakes up he's in a giant empty structure with his father and their soldiers. Darak put up a good fight, but it wasn't enough to get the job done. But they have something they didn't have at the beginning of this war. Hope.

Hope is what Pythona needs to try and save her people from this attack. As she runs through Zertonia, shes attempted to be apprehended by some Zertonian soldiers that she easily fights off. When she turns around she's met by Borr, the pet of Grakula that has come down to maybe aid Pythona her in her quest.

Blasts are going off and robotic pieces are being blown to smithereens in another area of Zertonia. Who is it? The Preimiere Zalilak is back to save his people. And he's not alone, he has Solila fighting by his side as well as they lay waste to these deadly robotic creatures. They are trying to do everything they can to stay alive like the Agorrians who are now standing on trial on the Quintesson's ship.

On this trial they are asked if they are guilty or innocent. When the Tribunal says innocent, the unthinkable happens, Darak and Dulin are sent down into a pit to meet what would be their horrible death if they make it to the bottom.

CONCLUSION

Oh boy!

Death, destruction and explosions cover every beautifully drawn page of this issue. The color differences of each location makes the location changes stick out without needing a lot of explanation. A true artistic masterpiece both visually and written.

Kirkman once again makes a solid issue that ends on a huge cliffhanger for next month. As the war is looking to end next month, I think that's where my previous predictions in the past few months of a character's death will finally happen. The intertwining stories all seemingly are building to one big crescendo and I'm truly at a loss of what will happen at the end of this all. Which is great for a comic story. A huge event with world ending stakes that FEEL like they matter. And has you questioning what will happen on the next page, or next monthly installment.

Great all around. The finale will need to have a strong ending to seal its successful fate. But I have no reason to feel like it won't stick the landing.

Overall: 8/10
