Full Details: GameFreak Suffers Massive Information Leak; Pokemon Wind/Wave Confirmed for Gen 10

Jonathan EscuderoComment

In October 2025, a fresh wave of confidential data from Pokémon developer Game Freak surfaced online, renewing discussions around a massive security breach initially dubbed the "Teraleak." This new release of information is a continuation of a significant data leak that first came to light in October 2024.

The original incident involved the theft of nearly a terabyte of data, encompassing over 25 years of the company's history. This initial leak exposed a vast repository of internal files, including source code for multiple Pokémon games, early concept art, internal meeting notes, and the personal information of over 2,600 employees and contractors.

The more recent disclosures from this breach have included detailed information and work-in-progress builds for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the long awaited MULTI-REGION MMO game, and potential plans for the franchise's tenth generation of games.

-Pokémon Wind and Pokémon Waves

Theme: Infinity

Directed by Shigeru Ohmori

-The setting for Pokémon Wind and Waves is: INDONESIA AND SOUTHEAST ASIA!

-Pokémon Wind and Waves start the adventure in a big tourist city, they mention that they specifically wanted to break the pattern of always starting the game on small towns.

-The theme of the game is Infinity:

・Play that continues infinitely

・Land that expands infinitely

・Evolution holding infinite potential

-With Pokémon Wind and Waves Game Freak wants to tackle the jungle environment which really hasn't been fully seen before in Pokémon games.

Survival in the jungle will be one of the main themes

You will be able to beat the game without finishing all the gyms or catching the main legendary, those will be optional (but you need to complete those for the true ending)

- You get the Seed Pokémon at the start of your adventure and you must raise it to a certain level to be able to enter the island for the main legendary

- The island is procedurally generated based on how trained the Seed Pokémon is.

- The evolution for the Seed Pokémon will be procedurally generated, including unique patterns for flowers and fractals, so every player will have a different looking Seed Pokémon evolution.

-The Seed Pokémon will revert to its default form when transferring it to future games or Champions, it will only be procedurally generated inside Wind and Wave

-The player will be able to challenge the final boss right away after getting the ability to traverse the sea, and will be able to defeat it and see the credits.

However it will be a lot more difficult.

-the Gyms and the Titan/Lord Pokémon concepts have been mixed together

- There are in total 18 challenges, one for each type.

- They will be inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals

- Clearing all the 18 challenges allows you to challenge the Champion

  • NEW MECHANICS

Pokémon Winds/Waves (Gen 10) features:

ジムアドベンチャー → Gym Adventure

天候技取得クエ → Weather Move Acquisition Quest

ライド免許クエ → Ride License Quest

mmoレイド戦 → MMO Raid Battle

ヌシ → Boss Pokémon (seems like a new version of Totem / Titan Pokémon)

ポケサバイバル → Pokémon Survival

ダイビング → Diving

New Graphics Engine: Pokémon Engine X

-Pokémon Wind/Wave is planned to have MMO features, with codename "Naia".

As the islands are procedurally generated for players, the idea is that players will be able to upload the islands they discover to the Naia servers, and then play with other players.

-THE NEW BATTLE MECHANIC FOR POKÉMON WINDS AND WAVES:

天候技

Tenko-Waza which could be translated to Weather Moves

-There appears to be a new mechanic / type of special Pokémon in Gen 10 called Seed Pokémon.

A baby Pokémon of the Seed species that can be found in resort areas. (Seed Pokémon = unevolved form)

It is a rare sight in this land, and no one has ever seen its evolved form.

When it travels to the island where the main legendary resides, it begins to evolve.

Its evolved appearance is said to have infinite variations.

-UNDERWATER EXPLORATION

-Every Pokémon can be ridden or touched.(Potential to be scrapped before release)

GameFreak goes into the philosophy of the difference between Legends Series vs Mainline New Gens:

The Legend series is about digging deeper.

- Targeted at gamers. Digging deeper into action.

- Digging deeper into the world view and history.

The Main series is about expansion.

- The target is wide, including beginners and fans.

- Furthermore, it promotes the expansion of play through communication.

GAME FREAK IS DEVELOPING A MULTI-REGION POKÉMON REMAKE

The objective is for the protagonist to be able to walk from Sinnoh to Hoenn, will also include Kitakami.

Codename: seed

Pokémon Project Seed is not only the dream multi-region Pokémon game that people have always asked for, it also appears to be an MMO.

"Seed is a prototyping project for a next-generation online game playable by multiple people, set in a region that connects Hoenn and Sinnoh"

Set to include: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Kitakami regions

POKÉMON LEGENDS 3 IS BASED IN GALAR!!!!

Set 1000 years in the past, you must create the first Gigamax Poké Ball with out of control Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon to battle. Gameplay appears to be based on Xenoblade Chronicles with concept art that directly references the Xenoblade Chronicles series.

Gameplay is not like the typical Pokémon experience, this game uses a new Formula where a large number of Pokémon will face Bosses.

Players Parties will have a limit of up to 30 Pokémon

Pokémon Legends ZA originally had a new PokeRide system that included using Lucario to jump from building to building.

Leaked video shows an abandoned Splatoon style 4v4 game mode and shooter style gameplay for Pokemon Battles.

The leaks show that buildings were originally more detailed and structured in Pokemon Legends ZA before they were flattened due to performance issues.

Finally, the leak revealed that GameFreak is currently planning for Generation 11 of Pokemon to release in 2030

The source of these leaks is the same Teraleak hacker from almost one year to this day. Is he done? Or does GameFreak have more up their sleeve?

Electronic Arts Acquired: Facts on the $55 Billion Investor Deal

George SerranoComment

Electronic Arts, the company behind heavy-hitters like Madden NFL, Battlefield, and The Sims, is about to change in a major way. EA has agreed to be acquired by a group of investors in a deal worth roughly $55 billion, one of the largest buyouts the gaming industry has ever seen. Once this is finalized, EA will no longer be a publicly traded company but a privately held one.

The consortium pulling off this deal is made up of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake Partners, and Affinity Partners, an investment firm led by Jared Kushner. The Saudi PIF, which has already invested heavily in gaming as part of its larger push to diversify the country’s economy, already held a significant stake in EA before this acquisition. Silver Lake is a big player in private equity with a history of backing tech giants, while Affinity brings its own political and financial ties into the mix.

As part of the transition, EA CEO Andrew Wilson is expected to stay in his role, and the company will continue to operate out of Redwood City, California. The deal still needs to clear regulatory and shareholder approval, but if everything goes through, it should be finalized in the first quarter of EA’s fiscal year 2027.

Investors and EA leadership are presenting this move as a way for the company to focus on long-term growth without the constant pressure of Wall Street. No more chasing quarterly earnings to keep shareholders happy. Instead, EA will have the freedom to pour resources into bigger and riskier projects that may take years to pay off, which could mean more ambitious and polished games down the line. With the financial backing of the consortium, EA will also have more capital to acquire new studios, expand into global markets, and grow its development budgets on a scale that wasn’t as easily possible before.

But the news hasn’t landed without concern. Many gamers are questioning what kind of influence these investors might have on EA’s creative direction. The Saudi PIF’s involvement has already sparked worries about censorship, especially for franchises like The Sims that highlight LGBTQ+ stories. EA’s long history with microtransactions and in-game purchases also looms large, and some fear private ownership could push the company even harder toward aggressive monetization, making players feel nickel-and-dimed.

On top of that, the deal raises ethical questions. The PIF’s investments in sports and entertainment are often criticized as “sportswashing,” a way of improving Saudi Arabia’s global image through culture. Add to that the growing concern over consolidation in the gaming industry, where fewer mega-companies are swallowing up more of the market, and you can see why this deal has stirred debate. While more money and freedom could mean bigger and better games, it also sharpens the divide between players hopeful for innovation and those worried about creativity being sacrificed for profit.

But what do you think? How will this deal change the future of gaming? Let us know below!

Did Yuri Lowenthal Just Leak a New Character for Marvel Rivals?

George SerranoComment

Yuri Lowenthal, the voice of Spider-Man in the upcoming hero shooter Marvel Rivals, may have just given us a major hint about a future character. During a recent interview, Lowenthal was asked about his favorite character interactions in the game. His answer was a bit of a surprise.

"I really like the dynamic between Spider-Man & Deadpool," he said.

The problem? Deadpool hasn't been announced as a playable character in Marvel Rivals.

When reminded of this, Lowenthal quickly backtracked, saying, "Well, I mean in general."

This isn't the first time an actor has accidentally spilled the beans on a new character or project. While some might write it off as a simple slip-up, the specific mention of a dynamic with Spider-Man—a character he voices in the game—seems to suggest he was thinking about the game's roster, not just the general Marvel universe.

What do you think? Was this just an honest mistake, or did Yuri Lowenthal just let us know that the Merc with a Mouth is coming to Marvel Rivals?

Who TF Is Paste Pot Pete? A Deep Dive Into The Rumored Addition to Marvel Rivals

George SerranoComment

Alright, Marvel Rivals fans, gather 'round, because there's a rumor swirling that's so magnificently absurd, so delightfully off-the-wall, that it just has to be true. We're talking about the potential inclusion of none other than... Paste Pot Pete!

Now, for those of you whose first reaction was "who in the ever-loving heck is that?", don't worry, you're not alone. Most people hear "Marvel villain" and think Thanos, Doctor Doom, or maybe even someone a bit more niche like MODOK. But Paste Pot Pete? That's a deep cut, folks, a character so gloriously D-list, he practically invented the concept.

So, let's get into it.

So, Who is this Sticky Boi?

Paste Pot Pete, born Peter Petruski (a name that just screams "villainous destiny," doesn't it?), first graced the pages of Marvel Comics in 1963. His big claim to fame? A powerful, super-strong adhesive. Yes, you read that right. His superpower is essentially having the world's stickiest glue gun. He initially used this ingenious invention to, well, rob banks and generally be a nuisance. Think of him as the guy who brings a craft project to a superhero fight.

He later rebranded himself as "The Trapster," probably because "Paste Pot Pete" didn't strike enough fear into the hearts of his enemies. He even got some fancy new gadgets, like adhesive-firing guns and anti-gravity paste. Because if you're going to be a villain with glue, you might as well go all out.

Whether Paste Pot Pete actually makes it into Marvel Rivals remains to be seen. But the fact that we're even having this conversation is a testament to the character's enduring, albeit niche, legacy. His potential inclusion sparks excitement for the kind of unexpected fun and deep-cut reverence that Marvel Rivals could offer.

So, keep those fingers crossed for our favorite adhesive-wielding villain! And remember, when you're playing Marvel Rivals, always be prepared for the unexpected – especially if that unexpected involves getting thoroughly pasted!

Playstation 5 Price Hike: How Tarrifs Are Impacting Your Next Gen Gaming

George SerranoComment

Attention gamers! Sony has announced a significant price increase for the PlayStation 5 consoles in the U.S., a move that has sent ripples through the gaming community. Effective this Thursday, the new pricing structure is a direct result of rising global trade tensions and the economic impact of tariffs.

New Pricing Details: What It Means for Your Wallet

Gamers looking to get their hands on a new console will face a higher cost. The PlayStation 5, which has been a hot commodity since its launch, will now be priced at $549.99. The all-digital version, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, will also see an increase to $499.99.

For those with their sights set on the most powerful console, the PlayStation 5 Pro, the price will jump to $749.99. This unexpected price adjustment affects all console models, making now the time to consider your next move.

A Shift in the Global Gaming Market

This pricing change is part of a growing trend where global economic factors are directly affecting consumer technology. The company has cited the need to adjust to current market conditions, including tariffs, as the primary reason for the increase. While this is certainly a setback for many who have been saving up, the future of the console remains bright with a growing library of exclusive titles and a dedicated fanbase.
