Everything is going wrong for the X-Men, can they get out of a terrible situation?

*SPOILER WARNING AHEAD!*

PLAN PUT INTO ACTION:

The Trask statue has been unleashed on Juniper, Pennsylvania, to the dismay of the X-Men. The Chairman's plan has successfully come to fruition.

Angered by this outcome, The Thing tries to take a swipe at The Chairman, but he's able to teleport and move away from him to an unknown location.

While the Juggernaut tries to bash in the head of Wyre, Wyre is able to set off a detonation switch to take down this giant ship they're all trapped in. Flying towards Philadelphia, the X-Men need to think quickly if they want to save the lives of thousands in the area.

Magik has now brought the entirety of the Fantastic Four back to the Baxter Building. But the seriousness of this situation is not getting any more positive. The X-Men now need to worry about saving two completely different places at the exact same time.

Who do we have to save the day?

Ben, of course.

Cyclops does the unthinkable, and he actually tries to reach out to Bohannan for assistance. Some situations are more serious than a feud. But Bohannan has none of it and sees this tragedy as a potential opportunity to get one up on the X-Men. But luckily Ben is here, and Cyclops is putting a lot of faith in this kid.

3K COMMERCIAL BREAK:

After 3k got whooped by the X-Men they are left to pick up the scraps. Wyre intends to do just that, by picking up the body of Timebomb whose still semi-unconscious from the fight.

He claims 3K is dead but Wyre tease that his new X-Men are just getting started.

THROWN INTO THE DEEP END:

Cyclops has put all of his faith into Ben, leaving him on the ship to take control of the situation and make a huge save for Philadelphia.

When it all looks to be not going to plan, a certain X-Men returns to save the day.

CONCLUSION

The plot thickens!

With the X-Men faced with the X-Virus being released they are doing everything they can to save both Juniper and Philadelphia from imminent destruction.

I believe that seeing Magneto back to full form is cool as a fan, but makes me wonder about the work they've done on turning the character in a new direction over the years. I kinda liked the Magneto that was forced to change his mindset and his way of tackling issues due to his new limitations in his wheelchair. When hes back to normal it seems like they are just trying to get back to the normal status quo and move past that time.

I could be wrong and there could be greater plans for this in the long run. But don't let those comments make you think i hate this story or something. I actually very much enjoy this DNX run tremendously. X-Men really is the best thing Marvel has out on shelves right now and this story is hitting the notes it needs to in order to be successful. Let's hope for a strong ending to follow this well written build up.

Overall: 8/10
