There are increasing whispers within the wrestling industry that former UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta could be in talks regarding a potential sale of TNA Wrestling. The rumors gained traction after a report from Fightful and an enigmatic social media post from wrestling personality Conrad Thompson, who simply posted a GIF of a man saying "Lorenzo!" in response to the growing speculation. Fertitta, who sold the UFC to Endeavor in 2016, is a significant figure in combat sports and has long-standing business ties with current UFC President Dana White.
The UFC is now part of TKO Group Holdings, a publicly traded company that also houses WWE, a promotion TNA Wrestling recently partnered with for crossover opportunities. TNA's current owner is Anthem Sports & Entertainment, a Canadian media company. While no official confirmation has been made, the rumblings suggest that a major shakeup could be on the horizon for the company.
