Following its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, Netflix has released a new teaser trailer for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the third installment in Rian Johnson's murder mystery series. The film presents detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) with what he calls a “classic, impossible crime.”

The central mystery involves a priest, Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin), who walks into a sealed concrete box in plain sight of his congregation and is found dead just thirty seconds later. The ensemble cast features Craig alongside Josh O’Connor as a young priest, Glenn Close as a devout church lady, Thomas Haden Church as a groundskeeper, Kerry Washington as a lawyer, Daryl McCormack as a politician, Jeremy Renner as a town doctor, Andrew Scott as an author, and Cailee Spaeny as a cellist. Mila Kunis portrays the local police chief who enlists Blanc's help to solve the baffling crime.

The film has garnered favorable reviews, with some critics suggesting it may be the best in the franchise, returning to the gothic roots of the original. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be released in select theaters on November 26 before it begins streaming on Netflix on December 12.
