Actor RJ Mitte has passed away. Mitte, 34, had a myriad of medical issues including cerebral palsy, a neurological disorder that impacts the functions in the brain that control the movement of your body. This led to a unique career in Hollywood where Mitte used his career as a platform for advocacy about the condition. Mitte had been serving as the SAG spokesperson for Actors with Disabilities.

Mitte’s most famous role is his role as Walt Jr. in Breaking Bad from 2008-2013, a role he landed at 16. To that point, his only credit had been in an episode of Disney’s Hannah Montana. Following a recurring role in ABC teen drama Switched at Birth, Mitte had transitioned into music videos for acts such as Three Doors Down and Kameron Marlowe. His most recent acting work had been alongside former WCW World Champion Dallas Page and former ECW World Champion John Hennigan in the hybrid live-action/adult animation superhero show The Guardians of Justice for Netflix in 2022.

DSR sends our condolences to Mitte, his co-stars, and his family.
