According to Deadline, The Penguin showrunner and executive producer Lauren LeFranc is currently in talks to board Warner Bros. and DC Comics' new Poison Ivy television series as a producer.
The project has been rumored to be in development for months now but recently experienced a development pause amid the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger.
Under the current plans, LeFranc would strictly serve in a producing capacity rather than writing the character's expanded narrative, and no writers are presently attached to the project.
If officially ordered, the series is slated for HBO and will notably remain entirely separate from Matt Reeves’ established Batman Universe starring Robert Pattinson.
Created by Carmine Infantino and Robert Kanigher, Poison Ivy, the alter ego of Dr. Pamela Isley is famously dubbed Batman’s "Floral Femme Fatale," utilizing her mind-controlling pheromones and an absolute command over surrounding plant life to assemble a formidable botanical army.
