The X-Men are in disarray. But are they getting closer to the source of all their recent struggles?

*SPOILER WARNING AHEAD!*

MAY DAY!

Psylocke and Xorn are going down! As a laser is heading towards their ship to make the deathblow, luckily Xorn is able to use the black hole in his head to route the later away from them.

Now to current time, Psylocke after getting in the head of a soldier knows whose behind this all. The Danger Room. And now their sights are set on them. They find out that they were using John to try and get to Psylocke to kill her. Xorn heals up John Greycrow after some shots he took and he finally gets a chance to speak to Psylocke.

She apologizes to John saying that shes sorry he was shot because of her. But John apologizes back to her saying that he's sorry his line of work has put her in danger. If they are going to get to The Danger Room and take them down...

They are going to do it together.

Back in Alaska, Quentin and Temper are looking for ANSWERS. And they are not holding anything back. They yell at everyone in their mother in town trying to find out who attempted to kill Blob, the nicest of the team.

With the Sheriff being kidnapped and all, a local officer says he can open up an investigation to try and help the mutants. But Quentin and Temper do NOT want an "investigation", they want JUSTICE for Blob. Even if they have to go into the minds of every person in town.

BAD DREAM

Beast wakes up in a sweat, breathing heavy. It was all a horrible nightmare and boy is he glad about that. When walking around, he finds Cyclops.

When trying to get his attention, Beast is met with the "face" of Cyclops.

That face being a horrible tentacle monster. The same thing that was inside the living ship.

Before we can see what happens to beast we follow Quentin again who is still yelling at patrons in town.

Him and Temper are tired of feeling like they are helpless victims in this town that they protect. But everyone they are scolding is confused. They know just as much as they do.

Quentin doesn't know that though and when the officer reacts by pulling out a gun and begging them to stop, he forcefully enters the minds of every person in the closest radius at once.

What we think is The Factory becomes a war ground for Beast's and what is presenting as Cyclops. He dodges and weaves the energy blasts being launched at him. Beast realizes that THIS is the dream, not what he thought it was earlier.

The living creature on this ship is overtaking their minds, feeding off of their thoughts. And that's when it dawns on Beast, he can't beat this thing by fighting it.

He simply has to speak to it.

While all of this is going down, Psylocke, Xorn and John Greycrow have fixed a signal and have seemingly found the location of The Danger Room and are ready to deal out some butt whoopings.

CONCLUSION

This issue FLEW BY! When I noticed at the end I had to make sure I didn't miss anything, but I didn't, and that's not a bad thing! This was absolutely the set up issue for what looks to be the X-Men's take down of the Danger Room. Psylocke and John Greycrow having a heartfelt reunion only spells bad news for the Danger Room. Targeting each other's loved one to get to them and NOT killing them? That's going to cost them dearly.

Quentin is going to need a rock solid PR team after this. I hope Magneto gives him a stern talking to when he gets back. Him.and Temper are undoing all the good the X-Men have done in this town. I get their motive, but im curious how they will bounce back from threatening law enforcement and forcefully reading the minds of every person in the town.

As for Beast's arch in this, his conversation with this creature is going to be the single turning point to take down the Danger Room. Using their own weapon against themselves.

A great set up for what could be a phenomenal end to this mini story! So many plot lines I want to see play out and so many stories that can grow from this. A textbook X-Men story and issue.

Overall: 8/10
