The final part to the Quintesson War is finally here! How does this war end?!...Or is it just getting started?

*Void Rivals #30 SPOILERS ahead!*

STAYING STRONG

Falling into the water to save his father, Darak struggles to pull him back for air. Especially with Sharkticons swimming around them, trying to stop that at every angle.

Luckily Solila is here to save the day. Using the last bit of the Energon to give her a boost, she pulls Darak's father to the top of the water after exploding a Sharkticon in the process.

Darak is shocked to see that they didn't take his blaster, he can use this to help them to get back to Agorria. His father is pleading with him to get out of here so one of them can live. Darak is confused why he's talking like this. He continues to scream at him that there are too many Sharkticons to battle for this whole group to live. He tells his son that he's failed and he is leaving it up to him to take back Agorria and save their people from this war that's going on.

While telling Darak that he needs to be strong...a Sharkticon bites down, killing his father right in front of him. Causing Darak to black out and pass out.

As Darak comes to, he is with Solila who is speaking to Zerta, begging for assistance. Zerta tells her that she can't be involved directly, but to reach out to her people called the Cybertonians for assistance. They can help take down the Quintessons for them and put an end to this war once and for all. Solila thanks her and begins leaving.

MAKING ALLIANCES

The Tribunal isn't done just yet. Trying to get one more jump on this crew before their escape, he almost kills them. But they're able to fight back before boarding Pythona's ship and fleeing. Tribunal slices the ship open on it's way out, but they eventually are able to leave.

Proximus and Ultum are left on the battlefield of Zertonia, watching Pythona's ship escape from a distance. They tried to get Solila's attention but it was to no avail. Due to his connection to Zerta he isn't concerned about where she's going because he knows where they are planning their destination.

He needs to get his hands on a Blastwing in order to make their way off of this planet as well. He is confident that they can make it off of Zertonia unscathed solely because he is Proximus.

While some fight and escape, Zalilak is going the opposite route. Speaking to the Tribunal face to face. Standing up to the Quintessons and laying down an answer to them that will work to benefit Zertonia in the meantime. He decides in the name of Zertonia...to surrender to them.

Solila and Darak get some time alone in the ship to regroup. Solila is doubting Zerta somewhat. Still not completely sure about her motives, she is questioning why she is following her blindly. She can't but fear that they deserted their people when they were in need.

Darak reassures her that they didn't desert them. He says that he has some doubts about Zerta as well, but he has met good Cybertonians as well. He believes if they can get in contact with Springer and Hot Rod, they can be huge additions to this fight.

Because as far as he's concerned, this war is far from over, it's only getting started.

CONCLUSION

Wow.

Huge issue that has huge implications going forward for the Void Rivals title. Darak pushing away his emotions, ignoring the questions on if he's okay after witnessing his father dying could blow up in the end of this war. Darak may be a ticking time bomb that could go off at any moment, making him a very dangerous and potentially reckless member of the team. They are really building a super team with Pythona in their corner and now the Cybteronians they are looking to recruit.

Agorria is presumably left to dry and Zertonia surrenders themselves to become victims to the Quintessons, Darak and Solila have a lot to fight for when they come back with their own army.

I loved how this ended personally. War's don't usually have a clean end, so seeing as this is the beginning of the good guys beginning to fight back, I'm very excited to see what's in the works for this title.

Overall: 9/10
