DC Comics is building anticipation for its previously announced "DC K.O." event by unveiling a "Fight Month" promotion for December. This new initiative will feature eight dedicated one-shots and tie-in issues showcasing some of the premier matchups from the 36-character tournament. While the overarching event was already known, this announcement provides the first detailed look at how the tournament's key battles will play out across the DC Universe.
The "DC K.O." event, co-architected by writers Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson, pits DC's heroes and villains in a massive tournament to challenge a newly empowered Darkseid. Snyder, who is writing the main series, shared his excitement for the December tie-ins.
"We have Fight Month coming in December where you're going to have matches between some of the great contestants, the champions," Snyder stated. "And again, that's going to be a blast. I'm writing one of those. It's just meant to be pure comic book joy with a lot of heart. As you get deeper in, you'll see it's a personal Superman story about what I think about Superman and why he's such a great character. So I can't wait for you to see it. I know I've been talking about it a lot, but we're really excited about it."
While many of the combatants remain redacted, with a full reveal planned for New York Comic Con next month, the schedule for "Fight Month" has been set.
