Simple match that saw Sami Zayn fight from under the brutish Ludwig Kaiser style.

Post match, GUNTHER runs out and he seems frustrated. He tells Sami that it's clear he really wants the World Championship match at Bad Blood. But then GUNTHER laughs, he tells Sami no and then he leaves.

YUTA is not trapped in the BCC. He's free to go but he should consider he has a duty to the "greater good". He needs to show up at AEW Grand Slam next week and make a decision.

Alex Marvez follows up with Wheeler Yuta who's been foggy the past couple weeks. He even left the title belt at catering.

Yuta says Bryan and the BCC taught him that he should never change himself no matter how much the people around him change.

Yuta doesn't care who's ass he has to kick next week. He'll be there 👀

Darby Allen runs down for the save but it's much too late. He and Mox face off. Marina telas Claudio to stand down and let them be.

Darby swings his skateboard at Mox but Mox dodges and leaves.

WWE RAW RESULTS 09-16-2024

CM Punk opens RAW by saying he didn't mean to make a mortal enemy when he came back to WWE but he apparently has in Drew McIntyre.

Punk says Drew made a mistake in not finishing the job. But now things are different. People ask Punk how many Hell in a Cell matches does he actually have left in him?

The honest answer is zero. His family has asked him not to do this and an angel on his shoulder is begging him not to do this.

But he wants everyone to know why he's going to do it anyway. If you push Punk far enough he can become the devil himself. And now the devil is here.

The devil in Punk's heart tells Punk this only ends at Hell in a Cell. The same heart that Drew McIntyre swore he would make stop beating.

But Punk isn't going to promise that he can kill Drew McIntyre. He can only promise that Drew MCINTYRE is going to have to kill PUNK because Punk is prepared to die and if this is the end, his career was great. So be it.

If Drew McIntyre is prepared the way Punk is, then Punk will see McIntyre in hell.

The IC title match is made official for next week. Bron snuffs Jey, USO goes down and Bron tries to hit the rebound spear but Jey Uso gets him with a spear first.

JD puts Xavier in a chokehold, Finn hits the stomp at the same time. Kofi comes back after it's over but it's too late and Xavier has had ENOUGH

Xavier Woods is backstage screaming at the LWO for coming down and brawling with the Judgement Day during their tag team championship match. Woods says they cost him the tag titles.

Kofi walks up and let's Woods know Kofi asked them to come. Xavier ask why the hell would Kofi not TELL HIM??!

DOES KOFI THINK THE NEW DAY IS NO GOOD WITHOUT BIG E? Kofi doesn't get to respond, Woods walks off.

Sami Zayn comes out to call Gunther out for ducking him since Sami beat him at Wrestlemania. But Ludwig Kaiser will not let anybody disrespect his bro like this.

Kaiser asks what does Sami even think he's doing asking for World Title shots? Why would Gunther be scared of Sami when he's the most dominant force in the company.

If anything, Gunther is trying to protect him from a beat down. Sami wants to talk about WrestleMania but miracles never happen twice and Sami will never ever beat GUNTHER again.

Sami asks why isn't Gunther out here himself? Gunther doesn't need Kaiser to speak for him. Gunther doesn't need Kaiser for anything at all But Sami actually doesn't think Kaiser needs GUNTHER either.

Kaiser turned on Vinci to stand on his own two feet, like anybody else. But does he think he's gonna get respect being Gunther's mouth piece?

If KAISER wants to talk to Sami, he doesn't need to speak through GUNTHER. He should grow some balls and speak for himself.

GUNTHER has heard enough. He walks up to his own friend Kaiser and asks if Kaiser has anything to tell him? He should say it right now.

Kaiser says he does have something to say and he's been trying to get it off his chest for a very very long time...

Then he attacks Sami. They tell Sami the answer is still no. Gunther leaves but Sami knocks Kaiser out of the ring and stands tall in the end.

New logo. New music. Triple H opens Smackdown by saying he can't believe it's been 25 years since he main evented the first episode.

Hunter introduced the new era of Smackdown with pyro and some flames for the lowering steel cage as Cody vs Solo Sikoa opens the show.

Classic story told here of a champion trapped in a Cage with a monster. Cody does eventually overcome Solo with a clean Cross Rhodes.

The Bloodline are jumping Cody when ROMAN REIGNS RETURNS

Roman clears house until the numbers game catches up. He's able to fight em off anyway and then he calls out Jacob Fatu.

But Solo won't let it happen. The Bloodline starts attacking Roman again when Cody jumps in to save him.

Cody and Roman have a moment face to face before Jacob puts the Ula Fala on Solo and gets Roman's attention.

Naomi runs out for the save.

Except she also wants the Women's Championship 👀

Nia suggests Bayley and Naomi vs Nia and Tiffy next week. The person who pins Nia will get a shot at the title.

But if Nia and Tiffy win, the person who gets pinned will have to leave Smackdown permanently.

- Jon Moxley just declared war on AEW. Their reason for taking Bryan out is that he doesn't have the stomach for what comes next. Bryan tried to fix AEW with empathy and understanding. Bryan tried a Diplomatic approach.

Moxley will not do the same.

Awesome match that goes exactly how you think it would. A huge athletic showcase and a win for Ricochet as he climbs the ladder towards Will Ospreay.

Ricochet gets attacked by Beast Muertos after and Sammy reluctantly gets in the ring for the save.

Okada is doing an interview with Renee about how easy it was to win the Fatal Four Way at All Out. He's approached by Callis and Takeshita.

Takeshita wants a shot. Okada says Takeshita will be Champ some day. But NOT the Continental Champion

Darby calls out Jon Moxley. Mox comes out and Darby has a story for him. Darby says he was looking for heroes when he first joined pro wrestling but all the ones he found were fake.

Except for Mox. Until the day Mox took out his supposed "brother" Bryan Danielson. Darby would never do something like that and Darby would never associate with someone like that. So what does Mox want.

Mox doesn't have time to explain to Darby what is going on but he loves Darby, he's never lied to Darby and he needs Darby to trust him and give up his World Title shot.

Darby asks if Mox has been drinking again. He has to earn that shot like anybody else.

Mox says Bryan will NOT be wrestling at Grand Slam after what they did to him. So Mox WILL earn it...

CHAOS. With zero structure for the first few minutes. Absolute Mayhem. Very fun.

American Made takes out the members of the Wyatt6 through various means until Joe Gacy is alone. They jump him with Kendo sticks until Ivy Nile goes under the ring and finds Nikki Cross.

Rowan digs his way out from under the debris they buried him under. He RIPS OUT the barricade and uses it as a shield/weapon. And now it's Rowans turn to get jumped by American Made.

AM has the advantage until Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis wake back up to even the odds.

Chad Gable with an Angle Slam off the top rope through a table on Joe Gacy!!!!! Gable puts Gacy in an ankle lock while Ivy Nile attacks him with Kendo sticks.

THEN NIKKI CROSS DELIVERS A GERMAN TO CHAD GABLE!!!!

Balor cut a promo blaming Priest for his inability to capture the world title. Basically called Priest a secret hater that was supposed to be a bro.

Priest is out to accept a fight between them at Bad Blood and he says he knows the JD Playbook. He fends off a surprise attack from the rest of the group for a while until the numbers game catches up. Rhea runs out but they both get whipped.

Jey Uso finally comes out to help clear the ring. He took a while tho.

Balor put Mystero in a single leg, Boston crab, while he was draped over the second and third rope, and didn’t let go.

He was disqualified, then drop kicked Mysterio into the LED board outside after the match.

AEW ALL OUT 2024 RESULTS

• MJF DEF. DANIEL GARCIA

The story of this match is both men are trying to break each other's necks. Simple stuff. MJF attacks the wound from the champagne bottle on Dynamite to bust Garcia open. MJF tries to tombstone Garcia off the top rope again but Garcia reversed into a sick DDT.

MJF spits a nasty loogie into Garcia’s face. This baits Garcia into a rage again giving MJF the upper hand.

Great back and forth until MJF puts Garcia in a Walls of Jericho, a reference to both of their history with Jericho. Garcia reversed into a Yes Lock which could be taken as both a reference to both of their wins over Bryan AND the fact that maybe Garcia should've went with Bryan instead of Jericho.

MJF lowblows Garcia and rolls him up for the win.

MJF tries to shake Garcia's hand and go for the low blow again. Garcia is prepared. He lowblows MJF.

Takes him to the corner. Spits in his face and PILEDRIVER OFF THE TOP ROPE TO MJF.

• AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: THE YOUNG BUCKS DEF BLACKPOOL COMBAT CLUB

The story of this tag match is that Blackpool Combat Club are completely capable of taking the Tag Team Championships from the Young Bucks. But the Bucks are using every cheap truck they can think of which is JUST ENOUGH to keep their heads above water and their shoulders off the mat.

Eventually they're able to get onto even ground with BCC. And BCC may have even gotten a bit cocky in their own ability.

Claudio throws Wheeler Yuta for the Fast Ball Special but Matt Jackson reversed with knees up into a roll up pin.

Great match.

• AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: WILL OSPREAY DEF. PAC

Prior to the match, Ospreay suggested that he had overlapped PAC without even realizing it.

PAC and Ospreay begin the match showcasing their entirety equal skill. But PAC eventually inches away, gaining the advantage on Ospreay by reversing Ospreay’s reversals.

Ospreay evens the match back up. And both men are now countering each other very frequently.

PAC begins attacking Ospreay's wrapped up neck with a German Suplex on the apron AND a poisonrana on the apron.

Unfortunately, Willow’s heart does eventually take over. In one last moment of embrace between the girls, Kris takes advantage and hits Staterday Night Fever for the win.

Takeshita and Okada finally fight one in one for a few minutes.

Eventually Briscoe and Cassidy get back in the ring. Takeshita takes the advantage but throws him out of the ring. Murders Mark Briscoe and takes Orange Cassidy for himself. Rainmaker for the win.

Hikaru Shida is the perfect person to be in the ring with if redeeming yourself is the goal.

These two ladies were VERY SNUG tonight. Lots of aggression and SUPER STIFF shots.

Eventually these stiff shots lead to some miscommunication as Shida KNOCKS THE SH*T out of Mercedes with a Katana. So bad that Mercedes can't stay down for the pin and rolls out after a one count.

They get back in the ring and take it home but clearly there was a miscommunication at the end.

They begin to try and DECAPITATE each other with the still lowering cage. Prince Nana shoves both men into the ring because they would not give.

StapleGun is introduced. Swerve is immune to staples when his adrenaline is pumping so he takes the stapler from Hangman and STAPLES PHOTOS OF HIS FAMILY ONTO HANGMAN'S FACE.

Hangman is able to take the advantage again when he realizes the cage won't allow him to hit his Buckshot Lariat

This was possibly one of the most violent steel cage matches in modern pro wrestling history.

Hangman and Swerve displayed nothing but pure hatred for each other. Chairs, cinderblocks, staples and even NEEDLES.

In the end, Hangman hits Swerve with an INCREDIBLE chair shot to the head that tenders him unconscious and ends the match via KO.

WWE Smackdown Results 09-06-2024

They brawl to the outside where Punk gets busted open. Very good back and forth action. Punk is able to hit McIntyre with a GTS before Drew can hit the fourth corner.

Punk begins hitting the corners and everytime Drew gets up to stop him, he's hit with another GTS. Punk takes back his bracelet after the 3rd GTS. He taps the fourth corner and wins his first WWE match in 10 years.

INCREDIBLE atmosphere for this match.

Orton takes out GUNTHER’s arm early on, which eliminated a lot of GUNTHER's offense for most of the match. Randy had control until Gunther finally reversed an RKO into a German suplex. Gunther takes control for only a bit before Orton finally hits an RKO

Orton actually puts GUNTHER through a table with a back drop off of some steel steps at one point. Gunther eventually puts Randy Orton to sleep to retain.

MJF: THESE PEOPLE LOVED ME BEFORE YOU SHOWED UP

Incredible segment between MJF and Will Ospreay that started with Ospreay talking about how he's saving AEW from the kind of "entertainment" MJF brings.

MJF says Ospreay can't beat him because he's too afraid to use the only move that can do it.

Ospreay keeps poking and prodding MJF. Making fun of the Adam Cole storyline that went sideways and saying Tony Khan needed Ospreay to have a good match at All In last year because the main event was trash.

Eventually the truth slips out and MJF reveals he hates Ospreay because Ospreay is taking his spot in the fan's Heart.

MJF starts talking about Will Ospreay's adopted son, saying that after the conversation MJF had with Ospreay's wife. MJF had a feeling her next child won't be Will Ospreay's either.

Ospreay asks Shiavonne to ask Tony Khan how much will he be fined if he attacks MJF. Tony says $127k. Ospreay says it's worth it and attacks.

Security breaks them upong enough for MJF to get the ring out and take Ospreay down. MJF attempts a Tiger Driver of his own but security breaks it up.

Bryan says maybe it's because he doesn't cut 20 minute promos every week but Swerve must've forgotten Bryan is the best wrestler in the world and has been for the past twenty years.

Randy Orton opens RAW and he's interrupted by GUNTHER who's very angry about the RKO from last week

Gunther asks the crowd if they share three brain cells because all they could come up with was USA chants to support Randy.

Orton is trying to give a rebuttal when he's attacked by Ludwig Kaiser, setting up a match for the main event tonight.

The match basically starts backstage in the middle of an interview with Jeff Jarrett. Hangman attacks Jay Lethal. They brawl to the ring and then the bell rings. Hangman and Lethal are even until Hangman hits a nasty DVD and shifts the flow of the match.
