Major Issues Ep 92: The Boys (Comic and Season 1) Review!

The Boys has hit Amazon Prime Video by storm, if that storm were filled with blood, guts, bones and organs! Starring Karl Urban as Billy Butcher and based on the comic created by Garth Ennis under The Wildstorm imprint, The Boys is set in a universe where superpowered people are recognized as heroes by the general public and owned by powerful corporation Vought International, which ensures that they are aggressively marketed and monetized. These "people of virtue" are less than moral, as they create tons of collateral damage and live in complete excess. These ain't your grandma's superheroes! It's up to Billy and his band of misfits in The Boys to put these "supes" back their place, whether they like it or not.

Few animated series have stood the test of time the way Batman the Animated Series has. Not only has it redefined a generation of storytelling in animation, but it has expanded upon Batman’s legendary mythos, and has even added some wrinkles to his infamous rouges gallery. Join us as we talk all the things that made Batman TAS stand out in the golden age of carton television, marvel over the sheer talent of the voice acting, and reminisce over some of the best episodes the show had to offer, in this nostalgic look at a hallmark in The Dark Knight’s lore!
